NEGATIVE IMPACT OF A POOR EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT ON LEARNING ABILITY OF A PERSON

DOI:10.24412/2470-1262-2023-3-101-112

Abstract: The article is devoted to the research of factors influencing a person’s ability to learn and the success (continuity, stability and long-term) of internalization – the translation of external knowledge into internal knowledge. Among the factors contributing to the success of internalization and learning, the most important is a person’s natural sensitivity, which is expressed, among other things, in a person’s increased or decreased sensitivity to the perception of culture as a system and to the assimilation of new cultural codes. The research revealed that such an aspect of culture as the educational environment can have a negative impact on a person’s ability to learn if the educational environment is impoverished. The research showed that a truncated and emphasized school history course suppresses the development of logical, systematic, analytical and critical thinking in schoolchildren, which is necessary for the successful study of not only some specific disciplines, but learning in general. At the end of the research, it would be concluded that the lack of developed thinking, the foundations of which are laid at school, in turn, certainly affects the ability of students to adequately perceive a new cultural environment and master cultural codes unknown to them in conditions of intercultural interaction.

Keywords: mental sensitivity, cultural sensitivity, impoverished cultural environment, impoverished educational environment, damaged exposure, development of learning ability.
