CARRYING OUT BUSINESS TELEPHONE TALKS: PRAGMALINGUISTIC AND SPEECH COMMUNICATION ASPECT

Abstract:

In the paper is discussed the issue of business telephone talks from pragmalinguistic, communicative and speech point of view based on the material of contemporary Russian business dialogues. In the part ʼIntroduction’ and ʼTheory’ there presented the significance of telephone talks as well as the specific features of business telephone communication. In the section ʼData’ the attention is focused on the issue of the communicative role and in the next part are given some methods used for the researching of presented problems. In the main section ʼReceived Results’ the focus is on presenting symmetric communication roles of communicants in two selected business telephone talks as well as on etiquette forms and their significance in business telephone communication. In the last part of the paper some mistakes in selling the goods by the telephone call are shown. The paper ends with a summary of the investigated problems.
